Leslie (Founder a.k.a. “The Dogfather”)

Leslie received his MBA and BA from York University. He has worked as a High School and ESL teacher, in corporate finance, the film industry, and has lived in Asia and South America. He is the father of two great kids and is the founder and director of ISX Canada.

What’s your favourite favorite ISX trip?
Algonquin Park. I like being surrounded by nature and going canoeing.

What’s your favourite hero/superhero?
Iceman because he can make his own slides and go from place to place sliding. That’s cool!

Sonia (General Manager)

Sonia is a certified teacher who loves to travel and meet new people. After much coaxing, Sonia joined the ISX team in 2006. Originally from Vancouver, Sonia arrived in Toronto in 2006 after a six year stint in Japan. She is part of a dragon boat team and loves to eat gravy!

What’s your favourite ISX trip and why?
New York City: You can go there a million times and still find something new and amazing to do!

What’s your favourite neighborhood in Toronto and why?
The Annex: For the food, interesting people and Honest Ed’s! 

Name your worst pet peeve?
Soggy sponges…

Norm (Sales Director & Business Development)

Norm has 6 years experience working in travel and tourism and is a pro when it comes to marketing, organizing and managing events. He has traveled to parts of Europe for rugby and has vacationed many times to South America. Aside from being an avid runner, Norm also writes songs and plays live music around the GTA!

What’s your favourite ISX trip and why?
I’m going to have to go with New York! I’ve been a few times and there is always something new to see and do!

What 3 things would you bring to a desert island and why?
I would bring suntan lotion and a helicopter + some friends if possible

What is your favorite colour and why?
I like the color Orange. It’s got it’s own fruit. The other colors must get jealous!

Stephanie (Graphic Designer)

Stephanie is the artist of the ISX family. She studied 3D animation, graphics and illustration. After living in Germany for one year, she fell in love with traveling. When she’s not doing graphics, you will find her making crafts, drawing and dancing!

What’s your favourite ISX trip and why?
NYC because of the art museums, musicals and delicious food!

What animal would you like to come back as in your next life and why?
I can’t decide between a bird or an elephant.  A flying elephant!

What is the very first thing you would buy with 1 billion dollars?
A trip around the world…

Nabil (IT Development and Operations)

Born and raised in Barcelona (Spain), Nabil first started as an international student who traveled on many ISX trips back in 2008. Since then, he has fell in love with Canada and decided to make Toronto his home. He now works in the IT and operations department, and also guides some of the ISX trips.

What’s your favourite ISX trip and why?
Chicago baby! Great food, great music and great city!!

What’s your favourite hero/superhero?
Hard to pick just one, but I’ll probably go with Wolverine! 

What’s your worst pet peeve?
People who wear crocs with socks…
